Jürgen Klinsmann is set to field a full-strength line-up in Sunday’s home Bundesliga meeting with sixth-placed Borussia Dortmund. With the exception of Lukas Podolski, who is not yet match fit, the entire senior squad is available for selection – including previously doubtful starter Miroslav Klose.
“It’s looking good. He’s come through training with no problems and no pain,” head coach Klinsmann reported after Friday’s squad workout. Klose twisted a knee earlier in the week and sat out training for a couple of days as a precaution, but has now been cleared to face BVB at the Allianz Arena.
By contrast, Podolski is still having to bide his time. “Dortmund is too early for him,” Klinsmann said. Germany coach Joachim Löw has also decided against calling up the 23-year-old for a friendly against Norway next Wednesday.
