'Three points. Basta!'

Frustrated FCB vow to make amends

After two demoralising results, last Saturday's 5-1 reverse in Wolfsburg and the midweek 4-0 defeat in Barcelona, the Bayern stars know they must win at home to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday (Live in English from 3.15 pm on Web Radio). "We're down at the moment, but we have to move on," Luca Toni declared on Friday, issuing a rallying cry to his team-mates: "We have to take three points tomorrow. Basta!"

Victory over the side lying 12th in the standings would preserve Bayern's hopes of at least one trophy this season. "If we win the Bundesliga, we'd at least salvage something from the season," Toni remarked. The champions lie fourth, but are only three points off leaders Wolfsburg – and there are still 24 points at stake in the remaining eight games. "We have to cancel out the three-point deficit in the Bundesliga," said Jürgen Klinsmann, "I remain totally convinced we'll do it."
