Just a few hours after signing for Bayern, Arjen Robben threw himself into his new club’s final pre-match training session, playing a number of promising one-twos with Franck Ribéry. FCB’s two undisputed world-class stars could yet feature in match action on Saturday, when Bundesliga champions VfL Wolfsburg visit the Allianz Arena (Live in English from 6.15 pm on Web Radio).

“He’s cleared and eligible to play. Now it’s up to Louis van Gaal whether or not to field Arjen,” Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Head coach Van Gaal declined to reveal his final decision. “I think it’s a possibility. He’s in good shape, and he’s already played for Madrid. But I still have to speak with him first.” Furthermore, Van Gaal pointed out, it was unlikely the newcomer could effectively contribute to the team effort after just one practice session.
