Ribéry uses his head, Klose follows his nose

Franck Ribéry was clearly in a state of disbelief. Time and again, he tapped his forehead with his index finger, first the right, then the left. Eventually, he spread his arms wide and ran towards Philipp Lahm, who had provided the chipped cross from which Ribéry had scored high into the net past Stuttgart keeper Sven Ulreich – with his head!

“He’s unbelievable, that Franck Ribéry! With his head,” laughed Louis van Gaal, partly perplexed and partly delighted with Ribéry’s stoppage-time effort to round off the scoring in the 6-3 cup victory over VfB Stuttgart. In his 125th game for Bayern, the France superstar finally scored one with his head, taking him on to 33 goals for Germany’s biggest club.
