Ivica Olic almost broke his long scoring duck a week ago only to miss by a couple of inches, but his unlucky streak finally came to an end after 71 minutes of Bayern's match in Hamburg on Saturday evening. The Croatia hitman struck his first goal in five and a half months on the ground which used to be his home territory. Unsurprisingly, Ivi was in the right place at the right time in a stadium he knows and loves.
“It's great to be back here. My family and I had lots of fun back then, and it's a period we'll never forget," said the scorer, who scored 29 goals in 78 Bundesliga appearances for HSV between January 2007 and June 2009. On Saturday, he was cheered by the home faithful when his name was read out in the announcement of the line-ups before kick-off.
