The entire Bundesliga and every football fan in Germany learned of the life-threatening injuries sustained by Hoffenheim pro Boris Vukcevic in a road traffic accident with great shock. Naturally, the news was also received with huge dismay at FC Bayern. The club and the FC Bayern players wish to express solidarity and support for the 22-year-old, who has been on life support in an artificial coma since the accident last Friday.
“On behalf of the entire team, I wish Boris all the energy he will need for his recovery,” said club captain Philipp Lahm. FC Bayern has sent Vukcevic a card wishing him a speedy recovery, signed by the playing and coaching staff. Tom Starke, who was Vukcevic’s team-mate at Hoffenheim, said: “I played with Boris for two years. I’m shocked by the news of his accident, and my thoughts are with him and his family.“
