Gladbach clash precedes show spectacular

Bayern have two more footballing appointments in 2012, next Tuesday's DFB Cup trip to Augsburg, and Borussia Mönchengladbach's visit to the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga on Friday evening (Live in English from 8.30 pm CET on Web Radio). “We want a positive end to the year in the league," Jupp Heynckes said on Thursday, “we want to maintain our run, our form and our performances."

If the team delivers against the boss’s wishes, it would mean a 14th league win of the season and would be the best first half to a campaign in Bundesliga history. However, Heynckes isn't really interested in records for now: “They might matter after the season," he said. The only point at issue on Friday is for everyone associated with the club to spend the holidays contemplating a league table showing a minimum of 11 points between FCB and their rivals.
