Chairman's Christmas message

Happy holidays, Bayern fans!

Season’s greetings to all our members, friends and fans,

The year is slowly but surely drawing to a close. For FC Bayern, 2012 has been a year with many highs, but unfortunately, it was again not quite enough to win a trophy. However, the way the year has ended has restored our confident mood. We’re comfortably top of the Bundesliga at the midpoint of the season, and we’re where we want to be in the Champions League and the DFB Cup. We know there’s a long way to go before the trophies are awarded, but I’m sure of one thing: the players will be exceptionally motivated and totally focused from now on. It would be very good indeed if we finally had reasons to celebrate again at the end of the season.

There are so many people to thank at the end of any year. Together with my fellow board directors Karl Hopfner, Matthias Sammer and Andreas Jung, my most sincere and deepest thanks go to you, our members, fans, friends and partners. Yet again, you’ve given us whole-hearted and unwavering support throughout the year. It remains only for me to wish you a happy and peaceful Christmas, and an excellent start to a healthy and successful 2013. I’ll be delighted to see you all again on 19 January for our first home match after the winter break, when we play Greuther Fürth at the Allianz Arena.

With warmest regards

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge
Chairman
