Bayern impressively beat Juventus and cruised past Nürnberg last week, and now intend to overcome the last hurdle en route to the DFB Cup final in Berlin when VfL Wolfsburg visit Munich in the semi-finals on Tuesday evening. “We’re determined to make the final, as are our fans and staff. We all want a trip to Berlin. It's fabulous and our big target," said Philipp Lahm, emphasising the spirit and desire coursing through the club.
“We know it won't just take care of itself and that we'll have to concentrate hard yet again," warned Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. However, the chairman is not concerned about complacency, despite Bayern's confirmed success in the Bundesliga and the excitement surrounding the imminent Champions League semi-final against Barcelona. “Our target is to go to Berlin. And we've been there regularly in recent years," he said.
