Just five days after the end of the 2012/13 season and fully nine weeks ahead of the new campaign, all but one of FC Bayern's Bundesliga home fixtures in 2013/14 are already sold out, as preliminary bookings exceed available tickets by a huge margin in some cases.
“For each of 16 Bundesliga home fixtures, we’ve received between 80,000 and 140,000 requests for tickets," explained FC Bayern board director Jan-Christian Dreesen, “the only exception is the game against Hoffenheim, due to their involvement in the promotion/relegation play-off. We have orders for ‘only’ 68,000 tickets for this match."
It is therefore certain that total Bundesliga attendances for Bayern matches at the Allianz Arena in the new season will again exceed 1.2 million (an average of 71,000). Bayern's ticket allocation for away matches will also be taken up 100 percent. The German Football League (DFL) is scheduled to announce the 2013/14 fixture list towards the end of June.
For FC Bayern's 39,000 season card holders, prices will be adjusted for the first time in five years. This is due to rising costs; for example, energy costs in the last five years have risen by more than 25 percent. On a match by match basis, prices will rise by €1.20 per match in category 5, €2.35 per match in category 4, and up to €7.10 per match in category 1. Season card holders will be informed personally by post in the next few days.
