Two open sessions at Allianz Arena in midweek

New head coach Pep Guardiola has ordered his treble-winning squad to report back for training on Wednesday 26 June. The session marks the launch of Bayern’s 2013/14 campaign, and due to enormous demand and interest from fans, the first workout and the next session on Thursday 27 June will be held at the Allianz Arena. The sessions start at 5 pm on both days.

However, the club has another important reason for moving the opening sessions to the Allianz Arena, as the German champions wish to join forces with their fans in support of the victims of the devastating flood catastrophe in large parts of Bavaria. In order to provide rapid financial assistance, the sessions will be staged as benefit events, with the admission charge of €5 going in full to the good cause. Children aged 14 and under will be admitted free. All proceeds will be donated to the victims of the flooding, as the team and their fans come together to help those in need.

Tickets available Monday and Tuesday

Tickets for the Bayern training days at the Allianz Arena are only available on Monday 24 June and Tuesday 25 June from 8 am to 7 pm, exclusively from the Allianz Arena ticket booths. Tickets will not be available on the training days themselves. After consultation with the Munich local authority, tickets must be sold in advance and limited to 25,000 per session due to current restrictions on the light rail transit service (U-Bahn) from the city to the Allianz Arena in Fröttmaning.

Fans attending the first training days may use Europe’s biggest underground parking lot (P1 - P3) at the stadium free of charge. Due to construction work on Munich’s light rail network, replacement buses are currently operating for journeys by light rail to Fröttmaning station. Because of the restrictions on public transport services at this time, fans are strongly encouraged to travel to the stadium by private car.

Pep Guardiola will be officially unveiled as Bayern’s new head coach at a press conference at the Allianz Arena next Monday.
