Ribéry resumes squad training

Franck Ribéry pursued an individual training plan on Wednesday, but the French winger resumed the squad programme on Thursday, completing the entire session without undue difficulty. He is therefore available for Saturday's Bavarian derby against Nürnberg. Ribéry sustained a minor ankle injury in last weekend's trip to Frankfurt and sat out the team sessions for three days as a precaution.

Wednesday date for Hannover clash

The German FA (DFB) has finalised the exact schedule for the DFB Cup second round matches. Bayern will play their home tie against top flight rivals Hannover 96 on Wednesday 25 September at the Allianz Arena, with kick-off at 8.30 pm CET.

Dante nominated for Seleção

Good news for Dante from Brazil: national team coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has called the FCB centre-back into his squad for the five-time World Cup winners’ meetings with Australia in Brasilia on 7 September and Portugal in Boston, USA, on 10 September. Scolari's squad mainly comprises the players who claimed the Confederations Cup on home soil in June.

Nilsson and Feulner fit for FCN

FC Nürnberg are likely to field centre-back Per Nilsson in Saturday's match at the Allianz Arena. The Swede has shaken off a sprain and is available for selection, FCN coach Michael Wiesinger announced two days before the match. Former Bayern man Markus Feulner, who picked up an ankle injury in last Sunday's 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin, has also reported fit, but midfielder Timo Gebhart is out of contention with a pelvic injury.

FCB All-Stars in action versus HVB

To mark the tenth anniversary of the partnership between Bayern and HypoVereinsbank, the FCB All-Star team played an HVB Select XI at the bank’s sports facility on Wednesday afternoon. Despite goals from Roy Makaay and Michael Sternkopf, the Bayern team captained by Paul Breitner fell to a 4-2 defeat.
