Badstuber back on the training ground

The Bayern first team squad were happy to be going through their paces on pitch one at Säbener Strasse on Sunday morning and they certainly enjoyed themselves. Robben shares Olympic success

On the return journey from Nuremberg, Arjen Robben really enjoyed celebrating a first gold medal for the Netherlands at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. “We’ve got more gold medals than Germany now. I’ve always said we’ll show them the way,” joked the FCB pro on the Dutch TV show ‘Studio Olympia’. Ahead of the match in Nuremberg, Robben congratulated his friend Sven Kramer on winning another Olympic title in the men’s speed skating over 5,000 metres. “I was told about it before the game. I called him straight away,” the winger said. Kramer won gold ahead of his fellow countrymen Jan Blokhuijsen and Jorrit Bergsma. “He deserved to win. Sven is just a great athlete. I hope he can win more medals,” Robben commented.
