Championship heroes back in Munich

After a long night on the town in Berlin the Bayern squad returned to the Bavarian capital just before two o’clock on Wednesday afternoon. The team bus, sporting a design celebrating the club’s 24th national championship, collected Philipp Lahm and Co straight from the plane at Munich airport. The atmosphere on the flight home was understandably upbeat. Rafinha controlled the music, other players enjoyed a hand of cards, and some of the stars took a welcome snooze...

Focus on Hoffenheim from Friday

Following their arrival back in Munich on Wednesday afternoon the players have the next day and a half off. Pep Guardiola has instructed his men to report back for duty on Friday morning for the pre-match training session ahead of Saturday afternoon’s home Bundesliga meeting with Hoffenheim. Until then the players will take the opportunity for rest and relaxation, and to reflect on a outstanding season so far.

Laureus World Sports Award for FCB

FC Bayern have been awarded a Laureus World Sports Award. The day after FCB sealed their 24th German championship, Paul Breitner represented the club in Kuala Lumpur and accepted the prestigious trophy for the Team of the Year 2013. Munich won the Bundesliga, Champions League, DFB Cup, UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup during the year.
