Benatia starts team training

On Monday evening Medhi Benatia took part in his first team training session at FC Bayern. The newly-signed Morocco international spent last week on an individual programme due to minor muscular problems. Holger Badstuber and Pepe Reina also resumed training, but Arjen Robben (ankle) and Xabi Alonso (foot) were still restricted to individual workouts. “It’s important we have these players available again as soon as possible,” Matthias Sammer told FCB.tv. Rafinha continued his sports rehab programme following a ruptured ligament. “As of today’s training our full focus is on VfB Stuttgart and personal fitness,” Sammer said.

Ribéry the boxer in New York

Franck Ribéry, Best Player in Europe for 2013, tried his hand at boxing at Gleason's, the oldest boxing gym in New York. We have a remarkable video of the visit made by the player during Bayern’s summer tour of the USA, and it’s now showing on the club’s official YouTube channel. Enjoy!
