On Saturday morning World Cup winner and Germany national team captain Bastian Schweinsteiger took an important step on the road to recovery from a knee tendon injury when he trained outdoors at the Säbener Strasse facility for the first time this term. The 30-year-old, who has yet to play a game this season, reported to fitness trainer Holger Broich for running and coordination drills in a session lasting around 30 minutes.
FCB KidsClub up to 30,000 members
FC Bayern’s KidsClub for the Reds’ youngest fans continues to grow at an extraordinary rate. Prior to Saturday’s home Bundesliga clash with Werder Bremen, the KidsClub honoured its member number 30,000 - eight-year-old Robert from Ammersee, who was invited to the game with his family and received a special FCB KidsClub Welcome Pack from stadium announcer Stephan Lehmann and mascot Berni. The FCB KidsClub was launched in December 2010 and is now easily Germany’s biggest fan club for youngsters. It’s a must for loyal Bayern fans aged between 6 and 12!
