The damp and dreary Munich autumn weather could not quench Bastian Schweinsteiger’s upbeat spirits on Tuesday lunchtime as he laughed and joked out on the practice ground. Things are looking up for the FC Bayern vice-captain, who has yet to feature in a match this season due to persistent knee tendon problems. On Tuesday Schweinsteiger joined fitness trainer Holger Broich for another individual workout at the Säbener Strasse facility, with most of the drills involving work on the ball. The world champion dribbled round cones, practiced passing and delivered shots at small-size goals. But don’t just take our word for it – see for yourself!
