In very good news for travelling Bayern fans, commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN is to operate a “special train” from Munich to the Reds’ away fixture in Frankfurt on Saturday. As an added bonus, the “locomotive” for the weekend convoy will be an exact replica of the current FC Bayern team bus. MAN is a club sponsor and the FC Bayern bus transportation partner, and Saturday’s special service is free of charge. “It’s fantastic that our partners MAN are helping us out! It’s important because the team needs the fans’ support,” commented sporting director Matthias Sammer. Fans in possession of a ticket for the Frankfurt match can apply for places on the “special train” by visiting www.manschaftsbus.de. The buses will depart for Frankfurt from Fröttmaning bus station at 8 am on Saturday. Due to an ongoing industrial dispute, only a third of German Railways (DB) trains are running at the present time.
