Badstuber on track, Boateng left limping

Holger Badstuber’s team-mates were breaking sweat at the Säbener Strasse training ground on Sunday, but the defender was excused duty so he could keep an appointment at the FCB Erlebniswelt. Holger was visiting Germany’s biggest club museum for an autograph-signing session. “It’s a nice change from the daily grind of rehab training,” commented Badstuber, currently out of action with a ruptured tendon in his left thigh. “Everything’s going according to plan,” advised the 25-year-old, “I hope I can take the next step forward very soon and be fully involved again in the new year.”

Boateng sustains dead leg

Jérôme Boateng was forced out of the action in Saturday’s meeting with Hoffenheim after 73 minutes. “It’s a dead leg,” the Germany international informed fcbayern.de on Sunday. However, the injury is not serious and Boateng will in all probability be able to feature in Bayern’s Champion League trip to face Manchester City on Tuesday.
