Elections to the supervisory board were held at the annual general meeting of FC Bayern München AG on Monday 10 November 2014.
The meeting elected three new members to the supervisory board:
* Dr. Markus Rieß (48), Allianz Deutschland AG CEO
* Rudolf Schels (65), FC Bayern München eV senior vice president
* Dr. Theodor Weimer (54), UniCredit Bank AG board member
“I would like to warmly congratulate the three new members on their election to our supervisory board and wish us all a good and trusting partnership for the benefit of FC Bayern München,” commented supervisory board chairman Karl Hopfner.
Two previous members have relinquished their positions on the supervisory board:
* Helmut Markwort (77), FOCUS magazine publisher
* Herr Dieter Rampl (67), former UniCredit Group advisory board chairman
The two previous members have relinquished their positions and leave the supervisory board, effective at the conclusion of the AGM on 10 November 2014.
“On behalf of FC Bayern München and especially the supervisory board I would like to thank Helmut Markwort and Dieter Rampl very warmly indeed for a good and successful eleven-year partnership,” commented supervisory board chairman Karl Hopfner. “Through their activities for the supervisory board both have contributed to FC Bayern’s successful development in recent years.”
Helmut Markwort will continue to serve on the FC Bayern München eV advisory board.

At the meeting of the supervisory board held after the AGM, Dr. Markus Rieß was elected as the third vice-chairman of the supervisory board, joining current vice-chairmen Herbert Hainer (60, adidas AG) and Rupert Stadler (51, Audi AG).
The three vice-chairmen and supervisory board chairman Karl Hopfner form the executive committee of the supervisory board.
As of 10 November 2014, the FC Bayern München AG supervisory board comprises the following members:
Karl Hopfner (62, FC Bayern München eV president)
Herbert Hainer (60, adidas AG CEO)
Rupert Stadler (51, Audi AG chairman)
Dr. Markus Rieß (48, Allianz Deutschland AG CEO)
