A few hours ahead of the finale of the China tour with the match against Guangzhou Evergrande, FC Bayern Munich has announced its first agreement with a regional sponsor. Guangzhou-based mineral water producer Evergrande Spring has agreed a three-year partnership with FC Bayern to 2018.

Evergrande Spring is a subsidiary of the Evergrande Group that reported €13.3 billion turnover for the first half of 2015 and is one of the "Fortune Global 500" companies. China's best and most popular football club Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC is part of the Evergrande Group.

The agreement covers the use of brand image rights in China. This has been seen on stadium advertising boards during the Audi Summer Tour 2015 and will also involve a TV commercial featuring FC Bayern players in China. Bottles of FC Bayern mineral water will also be sold in retail outlets.

Jörg Wacker: "We're very proud to present Evergrande Spring as our first regional partner. The partnership demonstrates the strength of the FC Bayern Munich brand in China today. We hope a lot of our Chinese fans will drink the mineral water in future."

In addition, FC Bayern and Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC will also conclude a cooperation agreement. The aim of this partnership is collaboration in the areas of sport, management and marketing.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: "Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC and FC Bayern Munich have had a very friendly relationship for the past two years. We were fortunate to play each other at the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco in 2013. Back then we could see that Chinese football and Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC were on the right track. We are on a tour of China under the heading: Visiting friends. We feel very much at home here. We are very happy with this partnership."
