Restart record:FCB have only once before started a new Bundesliga season with a win by a five-goal margin. That was a 5-0 victory over Rot-Weiß Oberhausen back in 1972.
Comeback: After a four-year absence, Arturo Vidal resumed his Bundesliga career. The Chile superstar last played in the German top flight for Leverkusen against Freiburg on 14 May 2011.
Decima: The first goal of a Bundesliga season was netted by a Bayern player for the tenth time.
Double debut: Diego Costa made his maiden Bundesliga appearance and also scored his first goal in a Bayern shirt.
Player milestones: Arjen Robben made his 200th competitive appearance for FCB. His superb record reads 109 goals and 57 assists. Rafinha also passed a milestone with his 150th Bundesliga victory.

Top of the charts: After three competitive matches (Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Supercup) Robert Lewandowski already has two goals and two assists to his name.
Long run: Almost 37 years have passed since Bayern failed to score in a competitive match at home to Hamburger SV, in a 1-0 defeat in December 1978. FCB scored at least once in the next 38 meetings.
