The ball is not everything in life, not even for the Bayern pros; smartphones too play a crucial role. The players travel a lot, so they use their devices several times a day to stay in touch with family and friends. “The smartphone is like a mini-office for me. We're informed about the training schedule via email for instance,” revealed Thomas Müller at the Erlebniswelt on Wednesday, where he received the brand new Gigaset ME smartphone along with his Spanish team-mates Xabi Alonso and Thiago on behalf of the whole squad.
The players were impressed by the elegant design and the high-quality finish. “I think it looks fantastic and fits nicely in your hand. I'm looking forward to testing it further,” commented Müller, who, just like his two team-mates, had his name and squad number engraved on his Gigaset ME.
Gigaset, one of the leading providers of technology and consumer electronics, entered a platinum partnership with FC Bayern for smartphones, tablets and wearables in June. After the launch of the Gigaset ME in November the Bayern pros will be equipped with the official communications device by sponsoring director Alberto de Torres.
