FC Bayern advanced to the Champions League semi-finals for the fifth time in a row after a 2-2 draw away to Benfica on Wednesday evening. Bayern's arrival in the last four naturally made plenty of headlines. fcbayern.de reviews the international media reaction:

Abola: "The Águias fight to the last minute. Even if Benfica were knocked out, they can be really proud, especially of the way they stood up to the mighty Germans in both quarter-final matches. The eagle has shown great passion."
"Benfica leave the Champions League with their heads held high. Bayern were not to be stopped, but they lost momentum."
O Jogo:
"For a short time Benfica had Bayern on the verge of being knocked out, but Arturo Vidal levelled only nine minutes after the opener."

As: "Bayern and Arturo Vidal are too big for Benfica. Except for ten minutes Bayern played a friendly and agreed on a 2-2 draw with Benfica."
"Bayern survive an early scare and knock out Benfica. Away goals by Vidal and Müller suffice to send the German giants to the last four."

The Guardian:
"The home crowd rightly applauded Benfica's efforts, but Bayern have deservedly gone through to the semi-finals."

"Bayern were not to be knocked out of their stride. Bayern did not panic after going one down and progressed to the Champions League semi-finals for the fifth time in a row."

Gazzetta dello Sport:
"Guardiola in the semi-finals, as always."
