Manuel Neuer was born in Gelsenkirchen and has been FCB goalkeeper since 2011 after starting his career at his hometown club Schalke 04. He was named Germany's best footballer in 2011 and 2014 and was awarded the FIFA World Goalkeeper title in 2020. As captain of the record champions, he played a key role in two treble victories (2013 and 2020) and took the captain's armband in 2017. In 2014, he crowned his career by winning the World Cup title in Brazil together with the German national team.
