Bayern beat Chinese champions SV Shanghai 3:1 in an exhibition game on Friday. The German league leaders continued their fine domestic form in this friendly thanks to goals from Katharina Baunach (11. penalty), American Kathie Stengel (52.) and Eunice Beckmann (65.).
FC Bayern used the international break to stay fresh. Thomas Wörle wanted to give some match practice to long-time absentees Leonie Maier and Laura Feiersinger, both of whom started in this game. The many personnel changes didn't do much to distrub the team's form as they dominated the game from start to finish. There weren't many scoring chances for Bayern but they showed composed control and were the team that took initiative.
It was after the break when Bayern really cut loose with Stengel and Beckmann's goal. Even though the visitors equalized shortly after Beckmann's goal, Bayern saw the game through with relative ease to make it a truly worthwhile exhibition match. The next competitive game will take place on November 30 against SGS Essen
