Injury Crisis

Micic out for six weeks

FC Bayern Basketball’s injury crisis deepens: Playmaker Vasilije Micic, 20, has suffered a partial rupture of the collateral ligament in his right elbow and will be out of action for the German Champions for an estimated six weeks. The Serbian international picked up the injury shortly after half time in the Euroleague defeat against Panathinaikos (87-72) on Friday night; he was unable to finish the game.

FC Bayern are already without Captain Bryce Taylor, whose groin injury has meant he is yet to play this season, and Anton Gavel (Ankle). Both are currently rehabilitating. The injury crisis has resulted in Paul Zipser making a quick return to duty after a six month lay-off and the signing of US Guard Bo McCalebb on a four week deal.
