After a 14-hour flight from Munich to Orlando via Frankfurt and a bus transfer, the FC Bayern women’s team has finally arrived at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
“The coming days during this short preparation are a very important time for us,” explained coach Thomas Wörle regarding the aims of the training camp. “We would like to take advantage of the pleasant conditions outside in order to, above all, work on tactics and fine-tuning.”
All 24 players of the Bundesliga team are at the training camp in Florida. Sarah Romert and Lena Lotzen will, however, be completing individual rehabilitation training. Winter signing Dagny Brynjarsdóttir is also on the road with FC Bayern for the first time. “We want to be on the road together for this one week in order to also get closer together as a team,” added Wörle.
The team will also be accompanied by a film team on behalf of Allianz, the jersey sponsor of the FC Bayern women’s team. Together with fan reporter Johanna and the FC Bayern media team, fans will be able to have a look inside the team's daily training routine in Florida. Social media posts from several platforms with the hashtag #FCBinFlorida will be aggregated here.
