K.C. Rivers will leave FC Bayern Basketball after three months at the club. The American Guard was unable to agree an extension to his deal with the club. His contract expired last weekend.
“We’d like to thank K.C. for his service. He adapted well to life here, not just as a player, so it’s a shame that he’s decided to pursue new challenges. However, it goes without saying that we wish him and his family well for the future.”
Rivers said his goodbyes on Monday evening and told the club’s official site that he “enjoyed every second of my time here.”
The 28-year-old joined FCBB from Real Madrid at the start of the campaign. He averaged 10.8 points per game in the Euroleague and is Bayern’s top scorer in the BBL (15 p.p.g).
The club haven’t decided whether they will be signing a replacement. “We have faith in our current squad and will work out how we will deal with his departure in due course,” explained Marko Pesic.
