The foundation for FC Bayern's future youth development is currently being laid in Munich. In a few months the brand new youth center will open, significantly expanding the club's youth development resources and capabilities. The new sports complex will have eight soccer fields, including one with 2,500 seats for official matches, a youth academy with dorms for players, medical units and a multi-purpose sports hall.
Bayern's youth teams currently use the facilities at Säbener Strasse, the club's main headquarters. The new facilities will expand capacity, provide state-of-the-art resources and is a long-term investment in the club's youth development. With the new Youth Center, FC Bayern will build on an already successful track of developing world class players like Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm and Thomas Müller
