Udo Lattek shaped an era at FC Bayern as head coach in the seventies and eighties, clinching six German championship titles, three DFB Cup triumphs and one European Champions Clubs' Cup. Lattek, who died in January 2015, suffered from dementia towards the end of his life.
On Saturday FC Bayern donated €75,000 to charity Marie Luise und Ernst Becker Stiftung to commemorate the legend and support research into the neurodegenerative disease which affects some 1.6 million people at present. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge presented Udo Lattek's wife Hildegard and his daughter Sabine with a cheque before Saturday evening's home match against Borussia Dortmund.
Comeback for Costa
Douglas Costa made his comeback in the top clash against Dortmund, coming on after 73 minutes. The Brazilian made his first appearance since the home match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 11 March.
Lewandowski out of Leverkusen clash
FC Bayern will have to make do without Robert Lewandowski in their Bundesliga match away to Bayer Leverkusen next Saturday. The striker picked up his fifth booking this term in the meeting with Borussia Dortmund.
