A late goal from Arturo Vidal on Sunday evening put Chile on the way to victory in their Confederations Cup opener. The Bayern midfielder headed home the first goal of the game against Cameroon in the 81st minute. Eduardo Vargas doubled the advantage in injury time, but only after the intervention of the video assistant referee. Vidal was named man of the match following the game after playing the full 90 minutes as the South American champions went top of Germany’s group with three points after just one match.
