At the request of German ECA members, FC Bayern Munich invited ECA president Andrea Agnelli to a meeting at the Allianz Arena today, Tuesday, 22 May. As well as FC Bayern Munich, representatives of SV Werder Bremen, VfB Stuttgart, FC Schalke 04, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt also took part.
Andrea Agnelli informed the German clubs about the status and the reform process of European club competitions from 2024. In addition, the German position was discussed.
FC Bayern München AG chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said of the meeting, "I would like to express my thanks to Andrea Agnelli for coming. My impression after this very pleasant and harmonious meeting is that the reform process will be continued democratically in an open, constructive and transparent manner, taking into account the interests of the Bundesliga.”
