The German Football League (DFL) confirmed the venue and kick-off time for the 2025 Franz Beckenbauer Supercup on Friday. The meeting between Bundesliga champions FC Bayern and DFB Cup winners VfB Stuttgart will be held on 16 August at 20:30 CEST at the MHP Arena in the Baden-Württemberg state capital. It will be broadcast live on both SAT.1 and Sky in Germany.
Honouring Beckenbauer
With the renaming of the Supercup after Bayern legend Franz Beckenbauer, who died in January 2024, the DFL and DFB are jointly honouring his services to German football. The pre-match programme in Stuttgart will also be dedicated to the legacy of the player and the personality Beckenbauer.
