Bayern launches chatbot

Since the beginning of October, the virtual assistant "Ben" has been available to FC Bayern Basketball fans for a variety of inquiries. FCBB is the first basketball club in Europe to take this innovative step in fan communication.

The chatbot solves questions about ticketing, the arena, news and content, the team and much more! Ben not only offers a quick and uncomplicated solution for users of the FCBB website, but also supports the Bayern back office in its communication behind the scenes.

The knowledge base is constantly improving through an A-I learning behavior, so that many questions and answers can not only be optimized over time but also automated in the long run. Ben is available 24/7 and can therefore help fans with their concerns at any time during the day or night. However, Ben is still new to the FCBB and is therefore not able to answer all questions yet, which is why he receives help from his colleagues between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. - in case he needs a helping hand.

Important: Communication via chatbot is in no way intended to replace personal communication, but rather to expand it. FC Bayern Basketball wants to offer its fans a new way to get in touch with the club without any waiting period and in real time. This service is to be further expanded in the future and will only improve with time. 

The chatbot is currently only available in German.
