FC Bayern will fully dedicate tomorrow’s home match against FC Augsburg at the Allianz Arena (Sunday 8 March 2020) to the overriding belief in "tolerance, respect, diversity, fair play" and the slogan "We love football". This signals a commitment that racism, anti-Semitism, sexism, homophobia, hatred, inflammatory language, insults and violence of any kind will never be allowed to flourish. The "Reds Against Racism” campaign, which FC Bayern launched on Thursday, will also be integrated into this matchday theme.
It is FC Bayern’s partners who have made this initiative possible in the first place. Throughout the match, there will be no advertising on the LED perimeter boards, which will instead highlight the fundamental principles of the day, displaying the words "tolerance, respect, diversity, fair play" to underscore the club and its partners’ shared beliefs. Additionally, the slogan "We love football" will circulate on the digital advertising boards, as FC Bayern and all its partners make clear what should always be the central focus, in the world of football and beyond.
The "Reds Against Racism" campaign shirts will also be available to purchase at the Allianz Arena on Sunday for €15. The proceeds will go to initiatives committed to promoting diversity and tolerance. In addition, the campaign video will play on the stadium’s screens, and the players will pose with a banner supporting the campaign ahead of kick-off.
