Together with our partners, Viessmann and Drutex, we have put together some climate-friendly tips and tricks for efficient heating and ventilation.

Viessmann offers advice on how to reduce energy costs and lower your heating bills.

• Not every room needs to be the same temperature:
  Each room has its own ideal temperature, depending on how it is used. This protects both the climate and your wallet. Reducing the temperature by just 1 °C can cut heating costs by up to 6% (especially in older buildings).
• Bleeding your radiators can also save you money:
  This is because a radiator that is not supplied with enough hot water consumes more energy. In order to reach the desired temperature, the thermostatic valve is usually turned up further. This increases energy consumption and causes higher costs.
• Proper ventilation can reduce heating costs:
  Bleeding radiators is not the only way to lower heating costs. Properly ventilating rooms is also regarded as one of the most effective methods of saving energy. Important: When ventilating, you should open the windows fully for a short period (approximately five minutes) rather than leaving them ajar for an extended time. Windows left ajar admit little fresh air but allow a great deal of heat to escape. Turn down the heating while ventilating.
