FC Bayern beat an amateur XI of fan club Vilshofen Rot Weiß 13-1 in the 11th edition of the dream match, rounding off a successful weekend a day after the 3-0 victory away to FC Schalke.
The ecstatic 6,500 full house at the brand new Klaus-Augenthaler-Stadion in Vilshofen saw Ivan Perišić, Michaël Cuisance and Philippe Coutinho score their maiden goals for FC Bayern. Kwasi Wriedt and Can Karatas netted three times, with Thomas Müller, Joshua Zirkzee, Sarpreet Singh and Alexander Nollenberger adding their names to the scoresheet. Alois Eberle scored the home side's consolation goal shortly before half-time.
Niko Kovač fielded a star-studded side, 11 pros starting for Bayern, including captain Manuel Neuer, new signings Lucas Hernández, Cuisance, Perišić and Coutinho as well as Saturday's hat-trick man Robert Lewandowski. Bayern legend Klaus Augenthaler played for the home side in the first half before making his comeback for FC Bayern with ten minutes to go.
Bayern netted four times within the first 35 minutes of a lively encounter, but Luca Hofmann soon shone with a fine solo run across half the pitch, setting up Eberle's consolation goal. Vilshofen failed to pull off a similar feat in the second half, and the German record champions added gloss to the scoreline, finding the net nine more times.
