Arjen Robben has completed his transfer from Real Madrid to Bayern. The Netherlands international, who joins Germany’s most successful club from their Spanish counterparts for an undisclosed fee, passed a medical on Friday morning at the Säbener Strasse, before putting his name to a four-year contract keeping him in Munich until 30 June 2013.
At Bayern, the 25-year-old winger will be given the shirt number 10, last worn by his fellow-countryman Roy Makaay and not assigned since then. With the transfer formalities already completed, Robben will take part in Bayern’s final pre-match training session on Friday afternoon and is eligible to make his Munich debut in Saturday’s Bundesliga showdown against champions VfL Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena.
