There was good news from Dubai on Tuesday as Franck Ribéry reappeared on the training ground, although the France star was still unable to join his team-mates for the squad session. The 26-year-old is recovering from treatment to bruising on both his big toes, but was able to run without pain in training shoes and spent 30 minutes doing just that at the Al Maktoum stadium on Tuesday morning.
The player then returned to the stadium fitness centre to continue a sports rehab programme. The 26-year-old will need another few days before resuming the squad workout, and cannot yet be ruled in or out of the Bundesliga restart fixture at home to Hoffenheim on 15 January.
