Bayern hope to stretch lead at the top

Treble-chasing Bayern embark on the run-in to the end of the campaign well-placed in three competitions. A win at home to Hannover on Saturday (Live in English from 6.15 pm on Web Radio) would represent the next step towards a 22nd German championship. “It’s simple: we just need to win all four remaining games. Then no-one can beat us to it,” declared Daniel van Buyten.

However, that will be easier said than done, as Arjen Robben warned. “We’re in a great position, but we have no trophies. We have to start by winning on Saturday. Hannover could be dangerous, they’re on form. They’ll come here prepared to do whatever they can to come away with a result,” said the Dutch winger. “We’ve tended to win the crucial matches against big-name opposition, but we’ve dropped lots of points to strugglers.”
