Confidence high as FCB visit Leverkusen

Despite two weeks’ worth of thrills, spills and excitement, there’s no time for Bayern to draw breath in their pursuit of three trophies this term. After two wins over Schalke and the dramatic European tie with Manchester United, Bayern face yet another big game on Saturday (Live in English from 6.15 pm CET on Web Radio). A win away to third-placed Bayer Leverkusen would see Munich at least maintain top spot in the league, and also knock a rival out of the title race.

“It could be a massive season, but we need to keep our concentration – and we’ve not won anything yet,” warned Bastian Schweinsteiger, describing the weekend clash at the BayArena as “one of the games that’ll decide the championship.” FCB President Uli Hoeneß said it was “an exceptionally important match where we can put ourselves in a position to win the league. That would improve our chances in the Champions League.”
