Toni Kroos is back at his official place of work. The midfielder, who spent the last season and a half on loan with Bayer Leverkusen, is now keen to make the breakthrough at Bayern at the second attempt. “I’m back as a different, more mature player, with a track record I can point to. I’ve also become a senior international during my time with Leverkusen,” the 20-year-old said on Tuesday, keen to move on from his previous incarnation as a talented but raw youngster.
Kroos has set himself targets for the coming season, “although I’m not saying I want to start 60 games and score 50 goals,” he declared. “My goal is to play as much as possible and become an important part of the team."
