Last Thursday, at the German FA (DFB) General Assembly in Essen, FC Bayern München AG board directors Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Karl Hopfner meet the President of the Netherlands Football Federation (KNVB), Michael van Praag. The meeting was to discuss the well-publicised injuries to FC Bayern players Arjen Robben and Mark van Bommel.
The meeting was held in a productive and cordial atmosphere. For the first time, KNVB President Van Praag was presented with the facts of the case and the viewpoints put forward by both sides. The parties resolved to arrange a further meeting between the FC Bayern München AG board of directors, the KNVB President, and KNVB CEO, Bert van Oostveen.
