FCB sign off at home with crowd-pleasing win

In their final home match of 2010, Bayern bade a festive farewell to their loyal fans at the Allianz Arena with a 3-0 victory over promoted St. Pauli, a fifth consecutive Bundesliga win for Munich in front of their home faithful. The squad hailed the crowd after the final whistle by unfurling a huge banner reading “Thanks for your tremendous support in 2010”, earning cheers and applause for the gesture.

In the evening, the club Christmas party at Alfons Schuhbeck’s teatro brought together the players, the coaching staff, the board, the supervisory board and sponsor representatives in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and captain Mark van Bommel delivered short speeches, before the throng was royally entertained by a troupe of 20 artists in a variety show combining comedy, acrobatics, sketches and songs.
