Bayern’s schedule at the winter training camp on Wednesday again included two workouts, at 10 am and 4.30 pm, with work on the ball providing the main focus. Despite the intense fitness training of the previous day, the stars were in terrific form, with every player up to full speed and no-one shirking a tackle. “There's real commitment. We're showing how hungry we are for trophies," Philipp Lahm commented.
“Even in the practice matches, no-one wants to lose," the club captain continued, “everyone's giving it 100 percent." Naturally, that is a precondition for FCB's pursuit of the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Champions League in the second half of the campaign. The latter in particular is a truly huge challenge, Lahm acknowledged: “If we’re to meet our own expectations, we have to minimise our periods of weakness. Four Bundesliga defeats before Christmas isn't something any of us wanted."
