FCB seek away boost, but Ribéry a doubt

Last Sunday's convincing victory over Schalke was undeniably Bayern's best display of 2012. The Bavarians are looking to build on that in the away meeting with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday (Live in English from 3.30 pm CET on FCB.tv Web Radio), but Jupp Heynckes could be without last weekend's match-winner, as Franck Ribéry remains doubtful with a bruised thigh sustained in France’s midweek victory over Germany.

“I don't know if I can play, but I'll give it a try. It’s still hurting," the player reported on Friday afternoon from FCB's temporary team base in Cologne. “I must have spent six hours with the physio yesterday. I went swimming and cycling today. I hope it's okay for tomorrow." A final decision on the winger’s fitness will probably be left until just before kick-off at the BayArena.

Training facility borrowed from FC Köln

There was better news of the other internationals who returned to the club with injuries. Holger Badstuber (back) and Thomas Müller (hamstring) were fit enough to go jogging on Friday, and both should be contenders for the team on Saturday. Jerome Boateng (back) and Philipp Lahm, rested by the Germans this week due to a swollen knee, took part in Bayern's final pre-match workout on FC Köln's main training pitch, and are available for selection in the meeting with the side lying fifth in the table.
