Fixtures finalised through to end of season

Bayern fans will want to keep Saturdays free from now until the end of the season, as the nation’s biggest club will play six of the last seven league matches of the campaign on the first day of the weekend, the German Football League (DFL) revealed on publication of the final schedule for Matchdays 28 to 34 on Monday.

The run-in to the end of the season opens with two all-Bavaria derbies, as FCB travel to face Nürnberg on 31 March and then entertain FC Augsburg on Easter Saturday, 7 April. Both matches kick off at 3.30 pm CET. There is no Friday match on Matchday 29 due to the solemn nationwide holiday for Good Friday.

One of the highlights of the domestic season awaits just four days later when Bayern play away to Borussia Dortmund in the top-of-the-table clash. Kick-off under the Signal-Iduna Park floodlights is at 8 pm on Wednesday 11 April. The following Saturday, 14 April, Munich welcome Mainz 05 to the Allianz Arena. The game has been selected by TV as the Bundesliga top match, and kick-off is accordingly set at 6.30 pm.

The final three fixtures all take place on Saturday afternoon at 3.30 pm: away to Bremen on 21 April, home to VfB Stuttgart on 28 April, and away to FC Köln on 5 May, the last day of the league season. As usual, all the fixtures on Matchdays 33 and 34 kick off on the same day at the same time.
