FCB aim ‘to come away with at least a point’

Bayern approach a crucial Champions League Group F meeting away to Valencia on Tuesday evening (Live in English from 8.30 pm CET on fcbayern.de Web Radio) knowing defeat is unacceptable. In the battle to win the section, the Germans and the Spanish are level on nine points, with BATE Borisov three points behind. The Belarus champions visit the Allianz Arena in the final fixture and could still progress to the knockout stages.

“We now have two important matches which will decide the outcome in the group," commented chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge prior to boarding Monday morning’s flight to Spain from Munich airport. “If we want to finish top of the group, and that is what we want, we have to come away with at least a point from Valencia. And there's no question about it, it won't be easy." Added keeper Manuel Neuer: “We know the table, and we’re aware we need a point at least."
