The likes of Dante, Luiz Gustavo and Rafinha are at home in Brazil, but Arjen Robben is soaking up the sun in Dubai and Manuel Neuer is relaxing in the Alps. The Bayern stars have had 14 days for rest and recuperation during the holidays, but on Wednesday morning, Jupp Heynckes and his men set off for a seven-day training camp in Doha. Mario Gomez, Robben, Tom Starke and the Brazilian trio will all fly to Qatar direct from vacation.
Following the five-and-a-half hour flight from Bavaria to the Middle East, the FCB squad and coaching staff will benefit from pleasant temperatures of approximately 20° C and the superb training facilities provided by the ASPIRE Academy for Sports Excellence. It is the third year in a row that Germany's biggest club have decamped to Doha for their mid-season training programme.
